Little Drummer Boy
Well, this one is extrememly lacking in Hanson, but part of it took place
at one of their concerts, and it was about Admiral Twin (don't know who they are?
check out my concert page.)It was the day we got back from the Washington DC trip, and my friend and I
(sorry Rach, you weren't in this one!) had somehow gotten tickets to another one of their concerts.
It was at the same place as the last one I attended was, but it didn't take us very long at all
to get there. We had fourth-row seats (I counted them in the dream) and we were really excited.
And when Admiral Twin came out, Jarrod wasn't there; he was sick or something. So the saxophonist (the
one with kinda curly hair... ARGHH forgot his name!) had to take his place. But he could only play half the drums
or something, so he yells to the audience, "Hey! Ya'll, I need someone to help me with this!" I raised my hand, and he
chose me, so I got up on stage and we got to play the drums togethar! Later on, after the concert, he asked if I wanted him
to help me learn the drums better. I said sure, and invited him to practice at my house (my friend left the dream long ago, incase
you were wondering... :-). My parents were upstaires, Little Sis 1 was in her room playing, and Little Sis 2 had invited
one of her friends over to spend the night. So we practiced in my parent's room for a while (mine was too messy). Miraculously,
we didn't get on anybody's nerves too much. But after an hour or so, my dad said the Admiral Twin guy had to go home because
I had to "take a shower and go to bed." So I invited him back next Saturday, and that was the end of the dream (...or was it? :-)
Searching for the Pink Bunny
I was in this warehouse with my sister, who looked and acted about six years old. She
was carrying this gigantic, stuffed pink bunny and she lost it. She sat down in the middle
of the floor and started bawling, so I was looking around for the bunny to make her quite
down. I found this green door and I opened it and there was this office-like room behind
it, with a big window that looked out on the street. There was one of those cheep table
that you sometimes find in school hallways, and Isaac was sitting on it. I was really
surprised to find him there, and he started talking to me and asked me what I was doing. I
said, "My sister lost her bunny and I'm trying to find it," and he offered to help me look
for it. So we looked all over the place but we couldn't find it, and somehow Zac just sort
of appeared out of nowhere and started playing with my other sister. Isaac and I were
getting annoyed with the little people making so much noise, so finally we just gave up
our search.
The Ferris Wheel
We were on vacation in Vancouver, and every morning it was gray and foggy outside and
my mom kept on saying, "Oh, what a nice day." For some reason she, my sisters, and
myself decided to leave our cabin in Vancouver early and go on home. We traveled down
the Oregon/California coast and headed east for Tennessee. On the way we had to stop in
Tulsa. We were staying in this house for a few days and my mom went over to visit with
the lady next door. She took my sisters along but I had to stay at the house because I was
sick. After a while I went next door to find my mom. I looked all over the place and
finally I went upstaires and was checking in the rooms, and I was looking in one and
admiring the junior league baseball trophies (?!) on the bookshelf, when Taylor walked
in. As it turned out, it was the Hanson's house, and I was in Taylor's room (I know they
share a room, but in the dream it was different). He and I talked for a while, then my
mom came up to find us and said that we were going to Lake Winnepasaukah, which is
this amusement park near my house. She and Diana dropped us off there and we split up
into three groups: Ike and my sister went to the haunted house, Zac and my other sister
ran off somewhere, I think to the paddle boats, and Taylor and me just walked around.
Then we decided to go on the ferris wheel. We got on and we heard someone shouting
for us and we looked up and Zac and my little sister were right above us, rocking the seat.
Zac yelled something like, "Watch out!" and my sister fell out and landed between me
and Taylor. Then she jumped out, breaking the safty barrier, and just ran off or
something. I was afraid we were going to fall, and as our seat rose, Taylor told me to lean
back so I wouldn't fall out. Then my mom woke me up and I never got to find out what
happened.
The Tivoli
Isaac and I were good friends, and one day he came over to my house and said that he
was taking me to the Tivoli (a theater). I asked him what we were going to see, and he
said, "We're going to perform." As it turned out, he had made this whole arrangement
with the theater and we were supposed to do something for about thirty minutes during
some sort of varity show. But he didn't know what kind of act we were going to do. So I
was kind of ticked off at him but not really mad, and we tried to come up with some sort
of act. We couldn't think of anything. So we went to the Tivioli, still having no idea what
we were going to do, it was five minutes before we were on, and we were sitting in this
room, kind of like a dressing room but it was really more of a waiting room for the
performers. He asked me, "Can you sing?" I said, "No." Then he asked me if I knew any
magic tricks. I said that I knew how to turn a bucket upside-down without the water
coming out. I showed him how and we quickly started putting together a list of magic
tricks that we could do, and then the stage manager called us on, and then I woke up.
Autographs
Hanson was going to do a concert at my school, and my math teacher told us that if we
wanted their autographs, we had to give her some paper for them to write on. All the
other kids (it was a miracle... everyone liked them!) gave her these nice, neat sheets of
blank white paper, but the only one I could find was a crumpled, torn sheet of notebook
paper that I had doodled all over one side of. So I gave the paper to the teacher, and we
all went into the auditorium. They played "Where's the Love," "Weird," and a few other
songs, and then the teachers gave them the paper and they signed everything, gave them
back to the teachers, and the teachers gave them back to us. But when I got mine, instead
of signing their names, they had doodled themselves all over it! I looked back at them
and they must have seen me with the paper, because they grinned at me and started
laughing.
Two Short, Stupid Concert Dreams
They were doing a concert somewhere and I tried to get seats, but the amphitheater was
all sold out and the only place I could find was on this brick and concrete wall, but I had
lots of fun anyway even though I didn't get to meet them or anything.
I was at one of their concerts, and after they were done singing there was this long line. I wasn't quite sure what it was for, so I got at the end of it, and the line moved kind of quickly and eventually I saw that it was to get Hanson's autograph! So I waited a few more minutes and I had them sign my T-shirt, and I very clearly remember shaking Isaac's hand.
